Year 10 – Poetry Coursework
Do not worry about this piece of work, as long as you read all your notes and all of the instructions you will be fine.
Look for poetic techniques but you must explain why they have been used and the effect they have. For example has alliteration been used to emphasize something? If so, what, how and is it effective?
Remember PQC and use your essay plan.
To get higher marks you need to write some original ideas and pick out particular words to analyse. Think about what connotations certain words have and how that could create meaning. Could a specific word be used to develop your point and comment?
As long as I receive the second half of your essay on Tuesday I can look at it and help you for when you write up your final draft. Any problems that can’t wait leave a comment on your class page and I will try to help.
10C – Powerpoints
Your institution powerpoints have now been posted on your page. Click on yours and it should open it up, leave a comment if you have problems accessing them and I can fix it.
